Basic Skills & Adult Education

Have you been out of school for awhile? Would you like to brush up on your academic skills and build confidence? Adult Basic Education (ABE) may be what you're looking for! The Academic Support Division provides adult basic education classes and independent labs for students who wish to develop or refresh basic skills in reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, problem solving, math, and using the computer. These classes are offered at various times throughout the district and students can join classes at anytime.

The ABE program welcomes adults who want to improve their skills. Each student learns at a comfortable, but challenging, level. All learning levels, from the very basic to pre-college, are accommodated. Each student has a personalized program of study that is built around the student's learning level, learning style, interests, goals, schedule and other relevant factors.

The ABE program is offered at no charge; however, nominal material fees may be charged.
