BTC Programs by Cluster and Pathway
There are 16 career clusters identifying related occupational groupings that require a set of common knowledge, skills and talents for career success. The clusters are designed to help you learn about how careers are organized so you can pinpoint and pursue careers that use your natural skills and interests.
Career clusters include hundreds of occupations that are categorized into subgroups called career pathways. A pathway includes a smaller subset of related careers with a more defined set of information about what a person needs to know and be able to do. A career pathway helps you plan as early as 8th grade. It shows you what courses you need to take now to help you get where you want to go. A career pathway allows you to explore a field of occupations -- you don't have to pick one! It gives you flexibility so you can change your mind at any time.
Career pathways are broken down even further into sample job titles. Remember, these are just some of the many jobs available within each career pathway.
