Instructor Support

What we offer:

Library research instruction sessions cover information retrieval skills and strategies for writing reports and papers, as well as skills to help students manage an increasingly complex world of information. Before the session, librarians consult with the faculty member about the objectives of the session. Sessions can be one class period, part of one period, or spread out over several periods.

Library instruction sessions for program classes cover specific reference tools for those fields and basic library procedures.

For more information about the BTC Library instruction program or to schedule a session, please contact Mary Hughes-Greer, Library Specialist, at 608.757.7705.

To place items on curriculum reserve:

All campus instructors: Fill out the online Curriculum Reserve Form or contact any member of the library staff

Reserve materials are subject to copyright regulations. For further information see the BTC copyright information page.

Advance Booking Materials (staff only):

Advance Booking is a feature of the library's circulation system that allows someone to make an appointment for a date in the future to check out library materials.  Advance booking a library material insures that it is available for you to use in your class when you need it.
