2016 Tech Exploration Days

Tech Exploration Days are designed to show prospective students the hands-on training they can receive at Blackhawk in some of the nation's most high demand careers.  These events preview program curriculum, facilities and career outcomes.  In addition, attendees will learn more about being a student at Blackhawk, scholarship opportunities and financial aid options.  Events are open to high school students and adults. Breakfast or lunch will be provided.

BTC's business programs are some of the most popular the college offers.  Information Technology (IT) is a powerful program training students for high paying careers immediately after college.

Blackhawk has 12 outstanding programs within its Health Sciences Division.  Programs that will be showcased at the Nov. 1 event include:

  • Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • Dental Assistant
  • Pharmacy Technician
  • Nursing
  • Physical Therapy Assistant
Programs that will be showcased at the Nov. 2 event include:
  • Lab Technician Assistant
  • Phlebotomy
  • Medical Lab Technician

Located at BTC's new Advanced Manufacturing Training Center, you will have a chance to see one of the state's premiere training facilities while learning about some of the fastest growing fields in the United States. Programs featured will include:

  • Computer Numerical Control (CNC)
  • Electro Mechanical Technician
  • Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
  • Industrial Maintenance Technician
  • Manufacturing Information Technology Systems (MITS)
  • Welding
  • Computer Service Technician (CST)
