Uganda is where the East African savannah meets the West African jungle. It's a place where one can observe
lions prowling the open plains, chimpanzees in the rainforest undergrowth and majestic mountain gorillas.
On Saturday, October 12, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., join us for "Out of Africa", an event that will teach you all about the beautiful lands of Uganda. Out of Africa will take place in the North Commons, room 1400B.
Uganda is the only safari destination whose range of forest primates is as impressive as its selection of plain antelopes. Besides the wide biodiversity, Uganda hosts a vast bird population of more than 1,000 species.
If you attend our "Out of Africa," you will enjoy learning about Uganda, its people, customs and traditions. In addition to a wonderful overview, this event will feature music, dancing, and treats from Africa. A jewelry displays and a silent auction will also be a part of the day's activities. "Out of Africa" is a event, open to the general public.
