More than 20 colleges from Wisconsin and Illinois are scheduled to appear at Blackhawk Technical College’s (BTC) Transfer Fair on Tuesday, November 29 from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Central Campus.
Free and open to the general public, area college students who are approaching graduation are encouraged to attend so they can learn about transfer admissions procedures and academic programs available.
“Successful transfer of our students to four year institutions is something BTC takes great pride in helping make happen,” said Melissa Lantta, BTC Student Pathways Coordinator. “We host this event on a regular basis to assist our students and others in the area in their exploration of viable transfer schools and to encourage planning.
Schools expected to attend are Alverno College, Bryant and Stratton College, Chamberlain College of Nursing, Columbia College, Concordia University, Grand Canyon University, Herzing University, Indiana Tech, Lakeland University, Marian University, Rockford University, St. Anthony’s College of Nursing, Upper Iowa University, UW Green Bay, UW La Crosse, UW Milwaukee, UW Oshkosh, UW Parkside, UW Rock County, UW Whitewater, and Viterbo University
According to Lantta, other colleges are expected to join the list of participating schools. Lantta added that attendees will have an opportunity to participate in a raffle for prizes, provided by the visiting colleges, if they visit three or more tables at the Fair.
