Business Division students excel at BPA

Every year, a wide range of Blackhawk students put their education to the test in national or state-wide industry and professional competitions.  At this year’s Business Professionals of America (BPA) Conference, several BTC students came away from the event ranking near the top – or at the top – of their field.  Some students qualified for the national competition coming up in May.  Here’s a look at the winning teams and individuals.

When talking about this year's group of students, Jeff Kropp, BTC Business Management Instructor and advisor for the local BPA chapter stated, "these students have really distinguished themselves in terms of workplace readiness and leadership skill development."  According to Kropp, the group is also very focused on community service including contributing annual donations the Special Olympics and the Girls and Boys Club.

Six BTC students, based on their performance at the statewide competition, will join thousands of students from across the country to compete and showcase their business skills and develop leadership acumen at the Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida.  The event features four exciting days of competitions, leadership development, workshops, National Officer Elections, and much more.
