Those in the process of completing a General Education Degree (GED) are encouraged to contact Blackhawk Technical College’s GED testing office at (608) 757-7666 to schedule final tests.
Students who have already completed a GED orientation session must pay testing fees and schedule testing appointments by calling (608) 757-7666 or 1-800-498-1282, ext. 7666. BTC will not accept new examinees or fees (excluding re-tests) after Friday, November 1, as the college prepares to begin computer-based testing in January 2014.
Those who have completed any portions of this GED series must successfully complete all five exams by Dec. 13 as the current test series is moving to computer-based testing. No tests will be given throughout the state of Wisconsin after this date.
The current GED test series consists of five exams, testing competencies in Science; Literature/Reading; Social Studies; Writing/English; and Mathematics.
Students who have not completed and passed all five tests by the Dec. 13 deadline will be required to re-start the testing process that starts in January 2014. No fees paid to date will apply for the new series of exams.
