Dustin Williams, an Agribusiness instructor at Blackhawk Technical College’s MonroeCampus, was named the winner of the Young Farmer and Agriculturist Excellence in Agriculture competition this week at the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s annual meeting in Wisconsin Dells.
As a result of the honor, Williams now will compete in January in the national Excellence in Agriculture contest at the Farm Bureau’s national convention in San Diego.
Williams was selected based on his knowledge of agriculture, and leadership in the Farm Bureau and other civic organizations.
Williams, vice president of the Green County Farm Bureau, is active in the county’s Ag in the Classroom program and recently was elected to the Green County Fair Board.
Williams now qualifies to be a Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation guest at next year’s Young Farmer Conference in Wisconsin Dells. He also received a gift certificate from GROWMARK, Inc. and will be a guest at the company’s annual meeting in Chicago this August.
