Part-Time Law Enforcement Basic Recruit Academy

Fall Semester Start

The part-time Law Enforcement Basic Recruit Academy is a program for those that are interested in a career in law enforcement yet may have other life commitments which prevent them from attending a traditional full-time program. The program is a full year program consisting of 720 instructional hours. Upon completion of the program, a student will be eligible for certification with the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board. The program focuses on both the theories of law enforcement and is coupled with the tactical skills necessary to be a police officer, deputy sheriff, or sworn member of law enforcement in Wisconsin. The program runs 2 to 3 nights per week and Saturdays for 12 months.
