About the Office of Safety and Security

Welcome to Blackhawk Technical College’s Office of Safety and Security web site.  Maintaining an environment where everyone feels safe and secure requires a cooperative and collaborative effort between all members of the College community.  As seen throughout the College, we too value diversity and strive to treat everyone with respect and dignity.

A tradition of efficient, courteous service to the community has always been the goal of the Office of Campus Safety and Security.  With the implementation of the Safety Web site, the Office of Safety and Security hopes to enhance the public’s knowledge of Emergency Management and Safety operations at BTC.

Blackhawk Technical College is committed to ensuring the health and safety of the entire College community.  In the event of an emergency, the College is prepared to respond appropriately to the situation.  Any relevant information will be posted on the appropriate web pages.

The Office consists of the Manager of Campus Safety and Preparedness, Evening Administrator & Security Supervisor, a dayshift security officer and evening student officers.  The Office of Safety and Security works closely with local law enforcement as well as other local jurisdictions in order to enforce Federal, State, and Municipal laws.  The Office of Safety and Security also works with Student Services to enforce the Student Code of Conduct.  The Office of Safety and Security patrols both the interior and exterior of all College owned or leased buildings.
