In comparing BTC to the National 75.7% of the students indicated that BTC was their first choice compared with 69% nationally and 74.3% for WTCS.
69.1% indicated that their Educational Goal was to obtain an Associate Degree compared with 49% nationally and 64.3% for WTCS. 10.48% indicated the completion of a vocational/technical program was their goal compared to 7% nationally and 12.2% for WTCS. 6.24% indicated that either initial or renewal of certification was their goal while the national average is 5% and the WTCS response of 5.7%
41.48% are 24 years old or younger compared with the national norm of 64% and 57.4% for the WTCS.
Only 6.36% of BTC students indicate their educational goal is to transfer to another institution with the national average of 27%.
