Help Resources - About Your Student ID Number
Where to find your Student ID number:
Your Student ID number appears on your schedule/bill, which
you will receive when you complete your registration. Registration
consists of choosing the course you want to take and paying the
tuition. Your Student ID# will begin with a leading zero or zeroes
and is a 9 digit number.
Student ID number:
Please make a note of your Student ID number as we will ask you for
this number when we access your records. You will also need
this number to access the secured area of the OIS (Online
Information System) database. OIS will allow you to register
and pay for classes, apply and view your admissions information,
view and print your schedule, unofficial transcript, grade reports,
and financial aid status.
The Student ID number was created to protect the privacy of your
social security number and to comply with the new state legislation
which went into effect January 1, 2000.
Blackhawk Technical College will continue to collect your social
security number. This number will be used for Federal
reporting purposes to comply with the Taxpayer Relief Act of 1997.
This ACT was created for the purpose of financial aid, Hope
Scholarships and the Lifetime Learning Credits. We will keep
your social security number confidential.
