Basic Skills/GED Preparation Classes at Rock

Make the smart choice and sign up to study in
BTC’s Rock
County
Job Center
classrooms. Instructors are available to assist everyone in either
an Open Lab individualized setting using computer programs and
textbooks or in teacher-led math and writing classes.
BTC students, free child care is available when
studying at the Job Center. Open Lab hours are Monday and
Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from
8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Math class is held from 9 – 11 a.m. on Monday
and Wednesday and covers all areas needed to pass employment tests
and/or the GED math test. A material fee of $8 is required and
includes all work in the Open Lab and attendance in the math class.
Writing class is held from 9 – 11 a.m. on
Tuesday and Thursday and covers all areas needed to write an
understandable memo in a work setting and/or to pass the GED
language/writing test. A material fee of $12 is required.
Fees are paid by the semester. Students may
enroll at anytime. Books may need to be purchased.
