Blackhawk Technical College’s Basic Recruit Academy is now accepting applications for both the full-time and part-time academy. BTC’s Basic Law Enforcement Academy is comprised of 520-hours of formal instruction as provided by the Wisconsin Department of Justice. The program contains students who have both been hired by police organizations or are pre-service candidates trying to enhance their employability. The program boasts an excellent placement record for pre-service candidates. BTC also hosts similar programs in the fall and spring semesters annually (full-time programs) and a part-time program which begins every fall and runs for one full year.
