Job Interviewing Practice Offered at BTC Monroe Campus

Blackhawk Technical College – Monroe Campus will be offering a “job interviewing” experience for its students graduating in the coming year. Students looking to practice a job interview are encouraged to participate. A panel of helpful, supportive individuals will ask students a series of “most likely asked” interview questions. After the interviews, students will receive constructive feedback from the panel. The feedback will be directed toward improving job interviewing skills, and will be both confidential and supportive. If students are interested, a list of the possible questions and interviewing tips will be provided anytime before the interview. In addition, students wanting career interviewing help are encouraged to schedule an appointment with the counseling staff on the Monroe campus.

Interviews will be held during the weeks of April 20 – May 10, 2008. Students may register for the interviewing experience by contacting 329-8253. Specific times will be worked out with the students after the initial registration is made. When interviewing for the “ideal job,” students seldom get a second chance. Blackhawk Technical College is giving them a “first chance,” so they might have a very successful “second chance.”

For more detailed information, please contact John Harker at 329-8207.
