Program Description

The Leadership Development Program is designed for people interested in acquiring or improving managerial or supervisory skills. Whether your goal is to be more efficient and effective in your present job or to move in a new career direction, the Leadership Development Program will give you competitive skills for the future, using the state-of-the-art management tools including:

  • Project Management
  • Leadership
  • Quality
  • Managing Diversity and Change
  • Safety Issues
  • Problem Solving
  • Supervision
  • Legal Issues

The curriculum for this program is available in either a traditional format (full semester long courses) or an accelerated format for working adults and non-traditonal learners.  You may select one of the following Leadership Development related program options and either will lead you to earning your Associates Degree:

Traditional Leadership Development - Associate Degree

Accelerated Leadership Development - Associate Degree

The accelerated Leadership Development Program is intended specifically for working adults whose knowledge and expertise are an important part of the learning process. All classes are designed for collaborative learning. Knowledge is immediately applicable to your work environment.

Engage your whole mind and body. Use your right brain, left brain, and each of your senses. You'll learn faster and retain more - participate in study teams to enhance your success. Experience a positive and creative environment that reduces anxiety. Music, art, visuals and objects contribute to your total learning experience. Your focus becomes learning - not just a grade.

Certificate Options for Non-Degree Seeking Students

18-Credit Leadership Development Certificate.  Students may earn this certificate by completing five courses from the Occupational Specific category and one communications course listed in the AAS degree curriculum.

32-Credit Leadership Development Certificate. Students may earn this local certificate by completing the technical studies course requirements listed for this one-year certificate.

Graduates from the AAS degree program have found employment as:
