Blackhawk Business Students Headed to Nationals

Wisconsin Technical Colleges offer unique opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in their career areas through involvement in student organizations. Blackhawk Technical College is no exception to this. As members of Business Professionals of America (BPA), students are provided opportunities to apply their skills and knowledge in competitive events of their choosing at the BPA State Leadership Conference. Seven students attended this event in February and many qualified to attend the BPA National Leadership Conference in Washington DC this May. The students who participated were:

The BPA State Conference held several open events that yielded Blackhawk students placement in the top five including:
- Natalie Sullivan: Administrative Support Concepts (2nd Place), Business Meeting Management Concepts (4th Place), and Financial Math and Analysis Concepts (3rd Place)
- David Jaeckel: Management/Human Resources /Marketing Concepts (5th Place)
- Josh Lichtfuss: Parliamentary Procedure Concepts (4th Place)
Blackhawk BPA Chapter named Josh Lichtfuss and Natalie Sullivan as BPA Members of the Year, and Josh Lichtfuss was named the BPA Mike Tolkheim Scholarship Award Winner.
