BTC to Stay in Stage 5 Until Jan. 2021

After careful consideration, the College will continue operations in Stage 5 (see below) until January 2021. COVID-19 remains a threat to our community. Therefore, we will continue to monitor local, state, federal, and CDC guidelines and will be ready to move to earlier stages, if necessary. We must make all necessary modifications to the teaching and learning environment to ensure we comply with Stage 5 requirements. 

The College Incident Command Team is preparing the campus for the Fall semester. Some of the changes include, but are not limited to:

• Continued maximum outside air circulated throughout buildings
• Classroom setup for social distancing
  • Extra chairs will be removed or set aside and taped off
  • Diagrams or instructions in all classrooms where students are allowed to sit
  • Every classroom marked with maximum capacity that cannot be exceeded
  • Cleaning supplies in each classroom for sanitization of spaces
  • Plexiglass/Sneeze Guards installed where it is necessary and safe to do so
• Additional technology is being installed to move almost all classrooms on all campuses to MyEdChoice technology
• Additional PPE and cleaning supplies are being ordered to prepare for increased traffic on campus
• Masks, thermometers, and face shields are available to all students

Please remember that wearing a facemask over your mouth and nose is a requirement on campus. Seating in the commons is limited to two people per table. It is our goal to help keep everyone as safe as possible and to slow the spread of COVID-19.
