Employee Benefits

Employee benefits make up an important part of the total compensation package for most employees. You may not want or need every benefit program that Blackhawk Technical College offers, but you don’t want to miss out on the programs that are of value to you!

Blackhawk Technical College is a local participant in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS) and the Wisconsin Group Health and Life Insurance programs. In addition, the College offers dental and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, tuition reimbursement, and a generous paid time-off package.

Benefit plan provisions vary by employee group; collective bargaining agreements may influence the amount and type of benefits available for some programs. Training & Professional Development

Training and professional development are provided for employees on a regular basis to promote position knowledge; enhance professional skills; and build awareness of affirmative action, sexual harassment, and diversity.

Blackhawk Technical College training and development programs include new employee on-boarding, employee workshops, technical training, management development, and professional development.
