Yes. The housing deposit is $250.

Depending on student residents’ financial aid eligibility, they may be able to use financial aid for the housing fee. Student residents are highly encouraged to contact the Blackhawk Financial Aid office at 608-757-7764 or btcfinaid@blackhawk.edu.

Yes. Meal plan options include a beginning balance of $1,500 or $1,000 per semester to be used for breakfast and/or lunch, Monday through Friday, on the Beloit-Janesville campus.

No. Student residents need to work directly with Beloit College for billing and payment purposes for the meal plan. Students can purchase the meals individually at Hamilton’s (in the Powerhouse) or at DK’s (in Pearson Hall) in a ‘pay-as-you-go' fashion.

Student residents who choose to bring a car must park in the street. There is no fee for street parking. Student residents should be aware of alternate street parking and snow emergency regulations and the associated personal risks.

Blackhawk offers shuttle service that student residents can utilize with their Blackhawk student ID. Regular routes between Blackhawk and Beloit College run Monday through Friday. The shuttle schedule can be found on our Shuttle Service page.

Student residents have access to many common spaces on the Beloit College campus, including the Powerhouse, library, and dining services. Student residents do not currently have access to the Sports Center. Student residents must carry their Resident Blackhawk/Beloit ID to access facilities and must carry the ID with them at all times. Student residents may access and utilize services at the Health & Wellness Center at their own cost.

Most student residents will be assigned to a single room; however, if a student resident would like to request a double room and/or request a roommate, please email housing@blackhawk.edu.

No. Student residents can choose to personally purchase streaming options and utilize the WiFi access on personal devices (e.g., television, video games).

There is a kitchenette in the first floor lounge that is equipped with small countertop appliances and a sink. Student residents should refer to the “What to bring list…” to review allowances for appliances in the individual rooms. Student residents are expected to clean up after themselves.

Student residents have access to do their laundry for free in the basement of Peet Hall. Student residents need to provide their own detergent.
