Blackhawk Receives 2022 Friend of LDA Award

Blackhawk Technical College was honored Thursday by the Leadership Development Academy of Rock County (LDA) with the 2022 Friend of LDA Award.
The award is given each year to an individual or organization that goes above and beyond to support LDA, which provides leadership training and community engagement to participants from a variety of industries.
Linda Ross, LDA Executive Director, said she and the LDA Board of Directors chose Blackhawk for this award because of the college’s commitment to community outreach and for participation of Blackhawk staff in various capacities with LDA.
Each year, Blackhawk sends at least two individuals to participate in the year-long Leadership Development Academy. This year, Alicia Acker, Blackhawk’s Career Services and Leadership Development Coordinator, and Darian Snow, Blackhawk’s Learning Support Services Manager, were participants.
