In celebration of the completion of their degree, 15 Radiography students were recognized Friday afternoon with a pinning ceremony on Blackhawk Technical College’s Beloit-Janesville Campus.
“We always made sure to push each other and support each other through these last two years through fears and tears. I’m so proud of everyone making it to today. All I can see is amazing and bright futures ahead for every one of us,” said Haley Arneson, student speaker.
Other speakers at the event included John Ursem, Radiography instructor, Mike Vingers, Staff Technologist at SSM Health, Katie Church, Radiography Program Clinical Coordinator, and Ali Liezert-Dale, Radiography Program Director.
“There are times in the field when you will witness the sad, the bad and the ugly. But there also will be joy, the wonderful and the beautiful,” Ali told the graduates.
Blackhawk’s Radiography program is a 62-credit associate degree course that trains students to use X-ray imaging machines to demonstrate body parts on X-ray for diagnostic purposes, including diagnostic radiology, bedside and trauma procedures, pediatric radiography, and special procedures.
