Danielle Garcia joined Blackhawk Technical College’s staff on March 30 as the new Career Services Assistant. She earned her GED from Blackhawk in 2020 and is currently finishing up an associate degree in the Administrative Professional program. She has most recently been working in the CARE Center on the Beloit-Janesville Campus.

The Beloit native was motivated to apply at Blackhawk because of the people.

“I love the College, and the staff are always so welcoming and supportive,” Garcia said.

The mother of four children–ages 19, 17, 16 and 11–also has four furry pets. Her family owns a catering/food trailer business, which keeps her busy, she shared.

Looking to the future, Garcia said she has plans to go back to school.

“Eventually, I will be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human services,” she said.
