Melanie Hoffman, our new Marketing instructor, is a marketing leader with extensive project management experience in for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
The Platteville native has expertise in strategic planning, budget management, and team leadership. Her focus on driving marketing initiatives and overseeing complex projects in the professional world translates into a broad range of experiences and accomplishments that she can share with students.
Hoffman received her Bachelor of Arts degree in graphic design and advertising from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and her Master of Business Administration from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee.
“Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a variety of business-to-business and business-to-consumer companies and institutions across Wisconsin, gaining hands-on experience in marketing and design,” Hoffman said. “Now, I’m thrilled to bring that experience into the classroom and help students grow, explore their passions, and prepare for exciting careers.”
As a person who has always loved mentoring others, she said the opportunity to teach felt like the perfect next step. In addition to teaching, Hoffman will serve as co-advisor for the Business Professionals of America student organization, whose mission is to develop and empower student leaders to discover their passion and create opportunities in learning, professional growth, and service.
“Being part of this organization allows me the opportunity to support students beyond the classroom and help them grow into confident, purpose-driven professionals,” Hoffman said.
When she’s not in the classroom, Hoffman likes to soak up life with her kids, boyfriend and our golden doodle, Teddy. She stays active playing in recreational volleyball and bowling leagues, loves spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking scenic trails or kayaking with friends and family.
