Family, friends and instructors gathered Tuesday evening to celebrate seven graduates of Blackhawk Technical College’s Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program at a pinning ceremony at the Beloit-Janesville Campus.

“This program has provided us with some of the best teachers that were able to share their esteemed knowledge and experience because now we have the confidence to stand in the real world and proudly call ourselves physical therapist assistants,” said Harjoy Kaur, student speaker.

Blackhawk’s PTA program is a 69-credit associate degree that trains students to help patients improve movement problems from injury, illness or surgery.

Congratulations to the following graduates:

  • Carlos Ansoleaga Lopez
  • Courtney Appelbaum
  • Evan Beyer
  • Nick Damman
  • Dory Huber
  • Harjoy Kaur
  • Tomara Mierow

Blackhawk will hold two commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 17, at The Dream Center, 2460 Milwaukee Road, Beloit. The 9 a.m. ceremony will include graduates from Blackhawk’s University Transfer, Business, and Manufacturing, Apprenticeship, Technology & Transportation division programs.
