Whether you’re a high school graduate, adult learner, or transfer student, you can apply online for free and explore available programs. Once accepted, students are invited to advising and onboarding sessions to help prepare for their studies.

Important Admission Dates for Fall 2025

  • Classes start: Aug. 18
  • Priority application deadline: July 21
  • Final application deadline: Aug. 4

After the Aug. 4 deadline, you must apply for spring 2026 unless you are applying for one of the following:

  • Class taker
  • Nursing Assistant
  • Transcripted credit

Check your email

Once you’re accepted, you will complete the Advising, Registration, and Onboarding (ARO) process, which will allow you to register for classes and prepare you for the first day of the semester.

Submit Your Transcripts

Please have your high school or college send your official transcripts via a verified third-party vendor, such as Parchment, to Blackhawk. You may also have them mailed.

Take a Tour

Visitors and prospective students are encouraged to take a tour either of Blackhawk's campus locations. Tours usually last for approximately 35 minutes and are often led by student ambassadors or a member of the Admissions Department. During your visit, the college will provide program, financial aid, and admission information as well as a first-hand look at any career area that may interest you.

Placement Testing

Blackhawk offers comprehensive, accessible testing and assessment services with a Testing Center located on our Beloit-Janesville Campus.

Athletics at Blackhawk

Blackhawk is a member of the National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA), offering volleyball, basketball, golf, bowling and clay target shooting.

Blackhawk Technical College's Basketball Court
