The Advising, Registration, and Onboarding, or ARO process, is an important and required step in starting your program at Blackhawk Technical College. When you sign up for a Part 2 session, please plan for the following:

  • A day that will allow around three hours to attend the session.
  • Arrive on time. If you arrive late, you will most likely be asked to reschedule and attend on a different day.
  • People who help and support you on your journey are welcome to attend with you!
  • Come ready to ask and answer a lot of questions. We will be going through resources and information to help you be a successful BTC student!
  • At the ARO Part 2 you will meet an Academic Advisor, review your graduation requirements, and, whenever possible, make a schedule and register for classes. We are excited to meet you and start helping you work on your goals.

The ARO Part 2 sessions are available in person or virtually so we can accommodate the schedules of our students. Please reach out to us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you on campus soon!
