Interested in a Career in Manufacturing?

The Accelerated Industrial Maintenance Certificate consists of three courses from Blackhawk Technical College:

  • Mechanics of Learning
  • Safety (OSHA 30 General Industry Certificate)
  • Troubleshooting Integrated Manufacturing Systems 1 (TIMS).

These one-credit courses offer a strong foundation of skills for individuals pursuing careers in manufacturing. Additionally, participants will have the chance to explore career opportunities at local manufacturing companies.

AIM Program Details

Students who are accepted into the program will receive a stipend of $13 per hour for the full duration of the program (132 total hours). Please note, participants must be at least 16 years old by the start of the AIM program.

Orientation: 5:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 3

Program Runs: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 8-30, 2026 (no class on June 19)

Locations:

  • June 8-10 - Monroe Campus
  • June 11-18 - Beloit-Janesville Campus
  • June 22-23 - Employer Visits
  • June 24-30 - Monroe Campus
  • June 30 - Graduation at Monroe Campus

Shuttle transportation will be available for students from the Monroe Campus from June 11-18. The shuttle will leave at 7 a.m. and return by 5:15 p.m.

This program is made available by a grant from the American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds.
