This year’s Wisconsin Technical College System EPD Rodeo brought together 63 students from Moraine Park Technical College, Blackhawk Technical College, Northcentral Technical College and Milwaukee Area Technical College. Held at Moraine Park’s campus in Beaver Dam on April 9, participants competed in the Bell Run, Fill and Carry, Weighted Handline, Egg Climb, Obstacle Climb, Fuse Change and Brace and Bit events.

“All the students competed very well this year,” EPD Instructor Tony Haffelder said. “It was a great opportunity for them to interact with other students and professionals from the utility industry.”

Judges included former instructors and professionals from across Wisconsin’s utility and energy industries, offering students feedback and an opportunity to engage with leaders in the field.

The following Blackhawk students placed:

• Second in Fuse Change — Anthony Hamilton
• Fourth in Fuse Change — Logan Gough
