Foundation Scholarships

Apply for the Foundation Scholarship.

Each year, more than 100 students receive financial assistance through scholarships administered by the BTC Foundation. Some scholarships are intended for applicants in particular fields of study or geographic areas while others are intended to help students overcome personal or financial hardships. Whatever the circumstance, every student is encouraged to complete the application.

  • WI Lab Association Scholarship – March 31, 2022  ($1.000)
    • ​Paper applications are available in the Financial Aid Office.
    • The applicant needs to be pursuing a career in a non-medical laboratory field and have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

  • Andrew E Goldner Heart of Gold Scholarship – December 1, yearly ($500)
  • Educational Scholarship - March 4, 2022 ($250-$1,000)
    • Scholarships are awarded in all fields of post-secondary education from vocational to graduate studies. They are available to adults and dependent children of all Adams-Columbia Electric Cooperative (ACEC) member families currently receiving electric service from ACEC.

Jon Steinhaus Lineworker Scholarship  - April 15, 2022 ($250-$1,000)

Scholarship eligibility includes anyone who is a high school senior (or older), and enrolled in an Electrical Power Distribution program at a certified EPD school.

  • Mercyhealth Ethnic Minority Nursing Scholarship - March 18 ($1,000)
    • This scholarship is for ethnic minority individuals who are pursuing a nursing degree and live in Mercyhealth service areas in Wisconsin and Illinois. Applicants much also be fluent in Spanish. A paper application is available in the Financial Aid Office.
  • Mercyhealth Janesville Medical Staff Scholarship - March 18 ($1,000)
    • The scholarship is for graduating seniors from Janesville, Milton, Beloit, Whitewater, Edgerton, Walworth (Big Foot), Brodhead, Delavan and Evansville. A paper application is available in the Financial Aid Office.
  • Mercyhealth Harvard Medical Staff Scholarship - March 18 ($1,000)
    • The scholarship is for graduating seniors at Harvard High School. A paper application is available in the Financial Aid Office.
  • Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Scholarships – multiple deadlines (award amount varies)
  • ATE Ballistic Helmet Scholarships – March 31 & October 1, yearly ($1,000)
  • WI Women in Government – June 15, 2021 ($3,000)
    • ​Paper applications are available in the Financial Aid Office.

Women with a Vision Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a woman who is a single mother, residing in Rock County, who is pursuing completion of a degree at Blackhawk Technical College or the University of Wisconsin Whitewater at Rock County that will empower her to attain employment that provides a family-sustaining income. The applicant must have earned at least 12 college credits and must be able to maintain a GPA of at least 2.75. She must be currently enrolled and be able to complete at least 6 college credits each semester. The value of the scholarship is $2,500 for one year, $1,250 per semester.
