Smart Start

Smart Start Days are designed for students to take care of last-minute needs before the start of the semester. Many services will be available, including financial aid, advising, bookstore, placement testing, laptop checkouts, IT helpdesk, student IDs, and campus tours.

Smart Start Dates:

  • 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Tuesday, Jan. 12-13
  • 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday, Jan. 14-15
  • 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16
  • 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 17

  • Tour campus
  • Borrow a laptop from the library's help desk

New Student Program Orientation

If you are a new Blackhawk student, do not forget to attend a Mandatory Program Orientation on Monday, Jan. 12, or Tuesday, Jan. 13.
