The Blackhawk Technical College Foundation hosted the Fourth Annual Scholars & Donors Celebration on Sept. 15 at Blackhawk Technical College’s Beloit-Janesville Campus. The event celebrated the generosity of many donors and their impact on the lives of Blackhawk's spring and fall 2026 scholarship recipients. It also featured student speakers James Sexton and Abigail Rudnitzki, who are scholarship recipients.

“I came to Blackhawk’s Nursing program because of the amazing reviews from the community and surrounding hospitals. I have stayed at Blackhawk because I have found those reviews to be true,” Rudnitzki said. “I wouldn’t be where I’m at without my fellow Nursing students, amazing professors, and my loving family; but I also wouldn’t be here without the wonderful scholarship donors here today.”

Blackhawk and the Foundation congratulate the more than 300 scholarship recipients, and thank the more than 70 donors for making such an impact. Thank you to Heartland Dental, the event's title sponsor, for making this event possible.

Anita Hoppe, Heartland Dental’s regional director of operations, shared what scholarships mean to her.

“It means not only helping students through school, but preparing them for life after graduation,” Hoppe said. “I’m proud to be part of an organization where I can pay it forward.”
