What You’ll Learn

"Accounting is the language of business." - Warren Buffet

An associate’s degree in Accounting can take you anywhere you want to go. From working for a small company to being a part of a finance department of a large organization, there is always a need for people who are detail-oriented, have great analytical skills and love to analyze, compare and interpret data. A BTC degree in Accounting will provide you with the education you need to succeed in the business world. Graduates are in high demand, as employers need people with accounting skills. In fact, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs for accountants are expected to grow at a steady rate of 13% through 2022.

Blackhawk’s associate’s degree in Accounting gives you a solid foundation in accounting principles, theories and practices. With a focus on the study of financial, managerial and tax accounting theory and procedures, you’ll develop the ability to apply generally accepted accounting principles, make sound and ethical decisions and use common business and accounting software. You can complete the program in two years, or if you prefer, we offer a three-year scheduling opportunity with evening classes. At BTC, we offer a wide range of flexibility when it comes to classes and programs from online to face to face or a combination of both.
