What You’ll Learn

“Agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals, and happiness.” – Thomas Jefferson

The Agribusiness/Science and Technology program will immerse you in every aspect of agriculture, whether it’s working with precision equipment or studying crops, weeds, insects and more inside our new greenhouse.  In addition to the new working space, the program also features new equipment such as the John Deere tractor, planter and sprayer.

Whether you hope to run your own agribusiness operation or help other agricultural producers become more successful, you’ll learn the ins and outs of merging business with agriculture from instructors who have first-hand agribusiness knowledge and expertise. By learning, by doing and on-the-job experience, you’ll learn about animal science and nutrition, integrated pest management, soil science, crop production and precision agriculture. You’ll learn how to manage crops and livestock, develop business plans and enhance your success through sales, marketing and business management. And, when you finish, you’ll have an associate degree and three certifications including a CDL, Commercial Applicator and Artificial Insemination.

Classes, for the most part, are held during the day, but with flexible courses, you can build your class schedule to best suit your needs.
