Introducing Coins for Caring (C4C) Student Assistance Fund

We have some wonderful news to share for students experiencing unanticipated expenses that might otherwise prevent them from completing their studies. It’s a new student assistance fund called “Coins for Caring” (C4C) administered by the BTC Foundation. A group of concerned individuals from the campus community have come together to put this fund and an award process in place. Any student may be nominated to receive a grant up to $100 from the fund each term. The award may consist of a gas card, grocery card, book store credit, food service credit or payment for a utility bill, auto repair, or childcare. Each situation will be reviewed by a selection team prior to an award.

Sharon Kennedy, Vice President of Learning has made a generous lead gift to this fund. We encourage others in this same spirit to make a gift to support these students in need. Pledge envelopes are available at DO and the Welcome Center on Central Campus. Pledge envelopes are also available at each of our satellite locations. You can make a contribution by cash, check, or credit card payment. Any amount is welcomed and your gift is tax deductible.
