Blackhawk Technical College’s Community Partnership Award honors individuals, local businesses, community organizations, or agencies within our community who have made significant contributions to Blackhawk Technical College.

This award is presented to a community partner in appreciation of their sustained and reciprocal partnership with the College. This award recognizes and celebrates the vital role and commitment of our community partners in supporting the College’s pursuit of excellence in education, student support, and community service/outreach activities.

Community partners may include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Hospitals or other healthcare facilities
  • Social Service Agencies
  • Chambers of Commerce
  • Financial Institutions
  • Cities and/or Municipalities
  • Government Entities
  • Non-Profit Organizations
  • Industry Partners
  • Community Service Clubs
  • Foundations
  • Researchers
  • Clinicians

Please consider nominating a deserving individual, local business, or community organization, or civic agency to receive this honor. 

Following are the criteria against which nominees for the award will be measured.

  • Demonstrate a collaboration and partnership with Blackhawk Technical College that meets a need in our district.
  • Demonstrate a relationship characterized by respect, equity, and engagement in all phases of the partnership and engages students, staff, and/or faculty at the College. 
  • Exhibit continuous support of Blackhawk Technical College through time, resources, or other means of support to the College.
  • Share measurable outcomes that the partnership indeed made an impact on the College, its students, faculty, or programs.
  • Display a partnership commitment to advancing the mission and vision of both the nominee and the College.
  • Creatively connects the College with the community.
  • Show the ability of the partnership to replicate and stimulate new ideas to advance the work of the College.
