Important Information for Health Sciences Students

We are excited to welcome many of our Health Sciences students back to complete hands-on and lab-based courses on campus. With that said, the College is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of our students and employees. The College will remain closed to the public for the duration of Governor Evers’ Safer-at-Home order. Because of this, we have very specific instructions and expectations for your return to class.

Blackhawk Apprentices Awarded $22,500 in Scholarships

Fifteen Blackhawk Technical College apprentices have each received $1,500 scholarships from Ascendium Education Group (formerly Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation & Affiliates). The Tools of the Trade Apprentice Scholarship program helps apprentices with financial need to complete their programs and advance to in-demand jobs.

Blackhawk Student Turns Involvement into a Career Path

Having a voice is important. Being able to have that voice heard is vital. Human Services Student Dixie McKee is hoping to use her voice for those who feel unheard. “After my own life experiences and situations growing up in and out of the foster care system, I’m pursuing a degree in Human Services. I can use my voice so I can advocate for others,” expressed Dixie.

Blackhawk Employee Named to International Advisory Board

Congratulations to Cindy Leverenz for being named to The Future Talent Council Faculty and Staff Development Advisory Board. The Future Talent Council is a global strategy group based in Stockholm, Sweden that is focused on understanding and influencing the future of talent and work. Leverenz was recruited for this global position for her extensive work on talent development for employers in the College district and surrounding area.
